The physician license issued under Federal Registration No. 3,765,779 form part of the pertinent data of the Certificate of Registration.  “A certification mark is a special creature created for a purpose uniquely different from that of an ordinary service mark or trademark.  The sole function of a certification mark is to certify, and thus guarantee standards.”  See Trademark Manual of Examining Procedures §1306.01 In re Florida Citrus Commission, 160 USPQ 495, 499 (TTAB 1968).  In this instance, it is to certify that a physician meets the standards approved under the Certification Mark therefore is licensed to provide services.

SECTION: 1.0


Requirements for Licensure as Doctor of Ňedicine®:

In order to be eligible for an Ň.D. license an applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicant must hold a doctorate degree/diploma in medicine, based on the philosophy of nature and science with a four year educational course of study of not less than one thousand two hundred hours (1,200 hours) or one hundred and twenty credits (120 credits), from an accredited school
  • Applicant must successfully complete the Board Certification exam given by the Ňedicine Licensing Board
  • Applicant must successfully complete the Jurisprudence Exam given by the Ňedicine  Licensing Board
  • Applicant must have two years of undergraduate education
  • Applicant must complete an internship of five hundred hours  
SECTION: 1.1

Requirements for Licensure as Ňedicine Consultant:

In order to be eligible for a consultants license an applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicant must hold a masters degree/diploma in medicine, based on the philosophy of nature and science with a 1 year educational course of study of not less than four hundred and fifty hours (450 hours) or one hundred and twenty credits (45 credits), from an accredited school
  • Applicant must successfully complete the Board Certification exam given by the Ňedicine Licensing Board
  • Applicant must successfully complete the Jurisprudence Exam given by the Ňedicine  Licensing Board
  • Applicant must have two years of undergraduate education
  • Applicant must complete an internship of five hundred hours  
SECTION: 1.2

Documents Required:
1.   Official transcripts of all pre-professional education, sent directly from each institution
      where studies were undertaken to this office, documents will not be accepted from the applicant.

2.   Official transcript(s) of professional education, verifying the award of the degree sent directly from
      the school to this office; documents will not be accepted from the applicant. 

3.   Verification of any professional licenses currently held.
4.   Official transcript of successful completion of the board certification examination
5.   Verification of completion of any continuing education undertaken by doctors if applicable.    
6.   Photocopy of medical degree/diploma (certified by the issuing institution).  
7.   A certified copy of a birth certificate or a notarized copy of passport.
8.   Documentation or written explanation of any name change.
9.   Copy of malpractice insurance face sheet.
10. Verification of experience in the field of natural medicine if applicable.


SECTION: 1.3

Fees for Licensure:

Ňedicine Licensing Board is tax exempt as a medical board under IRC 501(c)(6).  Revenue Ruling 73-567, 1973-2 C.B. and Revenue Ruling 74-553, 1974-2 C.B. provides that medical specialty boards and state medical associations are exempt from tax under internal revenue code 501(c)(6).  Licensure fee is tax deductible as a trade or business expense. Send money order or submit payment via PayPal with application and documents required in section 1.2.

  • Applicant must submit a completed application form with a processing fee of $400.00 for license 
  • Applicant must submit an additional fee of $200.00 for the jurisprudence examination
  • Applicant must submit an additional fee of $600.00 for the board certification exam
  •  Total payment is $1,200.00
SECTION: 1.4

Renewal for Licensure:
  • License is renewed annually on the expiration date
  • Fee for renewal of a license is $400.00 annually 
  • Fifteen contact hours (actual hours) of continuing education will be required annually for renewal of license
SECTION: 1.5

Important Information Regarding Malpractice Insurance and Disclosures:

Individuals licensed to practice natural medicine that provides direct patient care services are required to maintain professional liability insurance or other indemnity against liability for professional malpractice.  The amount of such insurance or indemnity for claims against injury or death for professional malpractice must not be less than two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for one person per occurrence, with an aggregate of not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000).  In the event that such licensee fails to maintain such insurance or indemnity coverage, their license from the Ňedicine Licensing Board automatically becomes invalid without notice from this office.

Licensees should adequately inform the public that they are not engaged in the allopathic medical practices of diagnosis and treatment of disease or any state licensed discipline unless they also hold a license from the state to engage in those practices.  Licensees, who engage in any state licensed discipline unless they also hold a license from the state to do so will have their license revoked.

SECTION: 1.6

Practice Defined:

The practice of a Doctor of Ňedicine® is based on the art, science and philosophy of  natural medicine. The practice of an Ň.D. is limited to functional diagnostics and natural medicine, which incorporates the use of natural agents and biochemical sciences.  A person holds himself or herself out to others as a licensed physician of nedicine when the person adopts or uses the designation Doctor of Ňedicine®, or its abbreviation Ň.D.  

SECTION: 1.7

Scope of Practice of Doctor of Ňedicine and Ňedicine Consultant

The practice of a Doctor of Ňedicine® includes the following:  (1) Counseling and (2) functional diagnostic sciences as follows:  Iridopathology (iridology), cold laser inflammation reduction, functional hematology (live and dry blood), functional immunology, functional endocrinology, functional gynecology, Reams analysis, thermography, hair mineral analysis, oxidative stress test and computerized body field (quantum) analysis.  (4) Material sciences of healing as follows: Herbology, orthomolecular nutrition, homeopathy, dietetics, phytotherapy, Bach-psychotherapy and chelation therapy in general.  (5) External applications with natural substances as follows:  Hydrotherapy, aesthetics, aromatherapy, reflexology, sunlight therapy, fresh air therapy, exercise therapy, rest therapy and detoxification therapy.  The scope of practice of a Doctor of Ňedicine® and of Ňedicine Consultants does not include mechanical sciences, mind and spirit practices or invasive practices such as surgery, drugs, electrotherapy and phototherapy.

SECTION: 1.8

Licensure Requirements for Doctors in Other Disciplines:

Allopathic, Osteopathic, Chiropractic doctors and medical professionals in other fields must obtain a license from the Ňedicine  Licensing Board to practice as a Doctor of Ňedicine.®  The requirements for licensure for professionals in other disciplines to practice  as a Doctor of Ňedicine® are the same as the requirements for a Doctor of Ňedicine®

SECTION: 1.9

Recognition of other Institutions:

The Ňedicine Licensing Board, license practitioners of natural medicine.  The board offers licensure and board certification with the designation Doctor of Ňedicine® to applicants residing in every state and territory of the United States.  For the accredited schools offering degrees with the designation Doctor Ňedicine®    The board also recognizes degrees earned at at other accredited schools of natural medicine. Go to www.anmab.org for a list of accredited schools.
 

SECTION: 2.0

Jurisprudence Examination:

All applicants are required to take the jurisprudence examination. The jurisprudence exam consists of true/false and multiple-choice questions.  Applicants must first submit the application and the required fees.  Applicant will then be notified when the administrative process of their application is complete and will then be given a username and password to take the exam.  The exam is taken online by going to the page entitled Examination.  The exam must be taken within 7 days of notification. The duration of the test is 2 hours. The minimum passing grade is 85%.

SECTION 2.1

Board Certification of Ňedicine® 

All applicants are required to take the Board Certification exam given by the Ňedicine  Licensing Board consists of true/false and multiple choice questions. Applicants must first submit the application and the required fees.  Applicant will then be notified when the administrative process of their application is complete and will then be given a username and password to take the exam.  The exam is taken online with a proctor by going to the page entitled Examination.  The exam must be taken within 7 days of notification. The duration of the test is 3 hours. The minimum passing grade is 85%.

SECTION: 2.2

Internship Requirements:

To undergo an internship:
  • An individual must obtain a permit from the Ňedicine Licensing Board
  • Training must be under the supervision of a licensed colleague
  • An advanced student must submit a certified internship authorization
  • A graduate must submit a copy of their degree, certified by the issuing institution
  • An individual must submit a completed application form with a fee of $100.00 (internship permit expires one year from the date of issue)

Licensure by Endorsement:

The Ňedicine Licensing Board may issue a license as Doctor of Ňedicine® by endorsement to an applicant whose experience or educational requirements for practicing in such capacity is equal to or higher than the requirements set by the Ňedicine Licensing Board  provided the applicant is board certified and licensed or the individual is entitled to perform similar services under a different designation by a state or territory of the United States.  No license will be issued to an applicant against whom disciplinary action is pending or who is the subject of an unresolved complaint.     

SECTION: 2.4

For the purpose of Section 1.0 to Section 2.1
  • Ňedicine means:  “A system of functional diagnostics and natural medicine”  The word Ňedicine consist of the prefix Ne- the symbol of the natural element Neon (Greek véov (neon) meaning “new”).  The suffix, ine means “like.”  The word is suggestive of making the body like new with natural medicine.  The ˇ (caron) above the N is a diacritic symbol from the Czech alphabet.  Diacritic in medicine means diagnostic or distinctive.  The American Heritage College Dictionary 4th ed., 2004.    
  • Doctor of Ňedicine®:  A doctor; a person who has been educated, trained, and licensed to practice the art, science and philosophy of functional diagnostics and natural medicine. Doctor of Ňedicine® is a trademarked title used exclusively by licensed practitioners of traditional natural medicine
  • Ň.D.:  Is the abbreviation of the title Doctor of Ňedicine
  • Natural substances: Substances that are not narcotic.
  • Natural:  Of relating to, or concerning nature
  • Optimal dosage:  Dosage that is for nourishment and maintenance
  • Therapeutic dosage: The maximum dosage in a measure of safety
  • Orthomolecular: A philosophy relating to therapeutic dosages
  • Functional Diagnosis:   Analysis of the causes and function of biochemical imbalances
  • Subscription: An agreement of a therapeutic natural regimen
  • Recommend:  A Protocol that does not exceed optimal dosage
  • Patient: One who receives natural medical attention, care or treatment
  • Counseling: The giving of advise opinion and education concerning the benefits, medicinal properties, dosages, uses, or the historical uses of herbs and any other natural substances to direct the judgment or conduct of another
  • Prevention:  Maintain or restore metabolic balance
  •  Intern:  An advanced student or graduate in the field undergoing supervised practical training
